Craft your own Clay Models Step-by-Step with HEY CLAY

Fans of the original Talking ABC app are in for a treat with these series of crafty apps by developer Hey Clay. Hey Clay Animals is one of 6 in a series that let kids get creative by giving them a chance to make their own clay models at home.

Designed to be paired with the official Hey Clay Modeling Kits each app provides up to 6 different models to make. Each kit includes 18 cans of clay in colors needed for each app series. For parents that do choose to purchase the kit can unlock all 6 models for Free within each app with the included codes. Hey Clay does offer in-app purchasing to unlock models independently of the kit and each model can be unlocked for USD0.99 or unlock all for a bundle price of USD4.99, a good option for those who may already have a ton of clay or play-doh at home.

In Hey Clay Animals kids have to option to make a Pig, a Horse, a Cow, a Sheep, a Rabbit or a Dog, all in the same adorable modeling style found in Talking ABC. Upon selecting what they want to make kids are guided with voice over that outlines what colors they need to get started and the steps they need to take.

Kids have complete control of pace and each stage can be repeated if they require. Instructions are clear and the app provides simple illustrations of techniques and method for shaping and modeling various elements.

What's good is that at any point kids can just tap the screen to view what stage they are at while having an overview of all the elements required. We really like the interactive 360 views of the model which really helps in getting a good view the model they are about to make.

Overall the Hey Clay Modeling series of apps is a great concept that brings educational experiences to life. These days parents have the challenge of finding the right balance of screen time and real world activities so we feel that apps such as these do provide a good option of both while letting kids express themselves through creativity.

In addition to this Animals version Hey Clay offers other fun modeling activities, there's Monster, Birds, Aliens, Dinosaurs and Bugs. The last 2 were recently added so it's great to see Hey Clay making an effort to expand these series.
